THE League; Flex League Rules and Regulations
Welcome to THE League! Here’s everything you need to know to play, compete, and have fun. Let’s keep it professional yet casual—just like our vibe.
Team Setup
Teams: 2 players each.
Season: 10 rounds + playoffs.
Matches: 9 holes on pre-selected simulated courses.
Schedule: Matches are played on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights.
Can’t make it? Notify us in advance, and you can:
Play ahead of schedule or
Reschedule your round to another time.
Tee Times: Assigned nightly by the league director.
Time Limit: Each team has 2 hours to complete their round.
League Play
Dates: January 6 – March 6 (10 weeks).
Registration: Sign up at www.chipshotsmn.com under Leagues.
Fees: $250 per player, due before the season starts.
Prizes:
End-of-Season Prize Pool: $50/team.
Playoff Champions: Trophy + next season’s fees covered.
Optional Skins: $20/person or $40/team (pay at season start). Weekly payouts for net skins via the GLG app.
Handicapping
Establishing Handicap:
Calculated after your first two rounds.
Recalculated weekly starting Week 3.
After Week 6, your worst score is dropped.
Adjusted weekly for fairness.
Transparency: All scores, handicap calculations, skins, and payouts are available on the GLG app.
Scoring & Format
Format: Weekly 9-hole team best-ball.
Each player plays their own ball.
Lowest net score per hole counts for the team.
Points System:
Teams compete head-to-head weekly.
Points are awarded based on rankings:
Example: 10 teams = 9 points for 1st place, 8 for 2nd, and so on. Last place gets 0.
Cumulative points decide season standings.
Playoffs: End-of-season bracket with a Team Scramble Match Play format. Winners take the trophy!
Simulator & Gameplay Rules
Course Setup:
One course per week (schedule provided).
Tee Box:
Men: Blue
Seniors/Women: Red
Lie Penalties: Active
Wind: Off
Gimmies: 8 ft
Putting Grid: On
Green Speed: Normal
Max Score: Net Double Bogey or Gross Double Par (to maintain accurate handicaps).
No Mulligans: Unless there’s:
Equipment failure (e.g., sensor or software malfunction).
Staff approval is required.
Scorecards:
Use paper scorecards signed by another player or staff.
Submit scores after each round.
Live scoring through the GLG app is preferred.

Winners get a burger basket or apps. ?
Weekly Giveaways: Swag like ProV1 golf balls, courtesy of Elijah Craig, official bourbon of the PGA.
Exclusive Specials: Weekly bourbon and beer deals to keep things fun.
Simulator Rules
Use clean, unmarked golf balls (we can provide them if needed).
No cleats on the turf—please stick to athletic shoes.
Food/Drink: Keep it off the hitting area and equipment.
Hit only from the designated area to avoid damage.
Payouts
Prize Pool:
$50/team added to the payout for top teams.
Larger pool = larger payouts, shared at season start.
Optional Skins:
$20/person or $40/team.
Weekly payouts in cash, tracked on the GLG app.
Respect & Sportsmanship
Chip Shots is about having fun! We expect players to:
Avoid throwing clubs or damaging equipment.
Be respectful to staff and other players. Aggressive behavior is not tolerated. Relax, grab a beer, and enjoy!
